Well, that’s a nice announcement! For families living in Amsterdam, and of course for entrepreneurs and organizations who would like to welcome them!
From 22 July until 30 November, the City of Amsterdam offers children in the age of 4 until 11 free use of the public transport (bus, tram, metro) in Amsterdam. That makes a big difference in travel costs for Amsterdam families!

To allow children to travel for free (accompanied by an adult), you can apply for this travel product from 1 July on. Once received, the travel product has to be placed on the personal chipcard for public transport (OV chipkaart) of the child. Follow the specific pages on the website of the City of Amsterdam.
