The sustainable actions of Hotel Arena

Hotel Arena also minimizes their own footprint as well as that of their guests and tries to be as sustainable as possible. You can see below how they do that in their hotel, restaurant and during their events.

  • Offer bikes to encourage guest to discover Amsterdam like a local.
  • Sustainable Taxi Holland transports their guests to and from Schiphol with a sustainable 100% electric car.
  • Guests can compensate their CO2 emissions and convert them into planting trees through their partner Trees For All. Or skip the daily cleaning of their room, with which they have a tree planted every day, per room, at Hotels For Trees.
  • Buy green, sustainable, Dutch electricity from Engie. Use energy savers to switch off appliances in the rooms, kitchen and on the terrace when use is not necessary.
  • Every year they invest in bigger improvements to make their monumental building more energy efficient.
  • Limit wastage as much as possible in the purchasing and preparation method. And mainly use local, organic products and ingredients.
  • Take an active role in the neighbourhood by being a member of our network De Plantage and collaborating with BIZ Oosterpark.
  • As a cultural meeting place, young talent and established artists provide an exhibition space to reach public. Support cultural institutions and initiatives with special rates or free use of their spaces.
  • Make the best selection of fun things Amsterdam has to offer every month.
