Earlier, we reported on actions and initiatives in the neighborhood and from members of our neighborhood network for Ukraine. For example, the Ukrainian flag adorns the Carré theater and there are statements of support and campaigns from Doctors without Borders, the Resistance Museum and Hermitage Amsterdam.
Yesterday a benefit concert for Ukraine was held in Dutch National Opera & Ballet, in collaboration with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and chief conductor Lorenzo Viotti, the Chorus of the Dutch National Opera, the singers of the Dutch National Opera Studio and dancers of Dutch National Ballet. The proceeds of the concert will benefit Giro555 for Ukraine.
Dutch National Opera & Ballet: we sympathize with the people of Ukraine and everyone who suffers in this dark time of war, but compassion alone is not enough.
The concert was completely sold out.
