Royal Theater Carré honors Youp van ’t Hek

Youp van ’t Hek says goodbye to the theater for good. On Saturday, May 25, 2024, the comedian played his very last performance, in Carré. 

On the same day he received his first tile on the sidewalk in front of the theater.

The tile contains his name and the text “No one knows what time it is”, from the song of the same name. 

Seventy-year-old Van ’t Hek has performed solo in Carré 276 times.

Carré has had a unique decorative ceramic tile designed by illustrator Marije Tolman especially for all fans of Youp van ’t Hek, as a reminder of his cheerful career.
