The Association Friends of the Plantage, a member of our neighborhood network, organizes cultural activities in the neighborhood and with neighborhood enthusiasts. Now the association has made a nice book with a historical walk through the Plantage.
The walk takes you through 300 years of the neighborhood’s history and gives details on architecture, art, monuments, parks and green spaces, as well as buildings that have now disappeared or were never built. In addition to the information about the walk itself, it also highlights all kinds of neighborhood topics.
The booklet is in Dutch, richly illustrated, has a fold-out map and costs € 12.50. Members of the Association pay € 10. Within postcode area 1018 and 1011 the book will be delivered free of charge, postage to other addresses € 4.10.
