Neighbors Day 2022

Published on Monday, August 15News

On September 24 it is Neighbors Day again. How nice is it to be involved in your neighbourhood, to see your neighbors again and to give them extra attention….. Do you, as an entrepreneur or organization, have a special promotion for the neighborhood or your neighbors? Do you invite them for coffee, do you organize a special tour or do you just have a good idea for the neighborhood or your neighbours, organize it, ask the organizers for a contribution, and tell us so that we can support with the communication.

‘Burendag’ is an initiative of Douwe Egberts and the Oranje Fonds and is held on the fourth Saturday of September. An annual party that you celebrate together with your neighbors and the neighbourhood; a day when you get together and where many people do something good for each other and the neighbourhood. If you want to request a contribution for your activity, or a Neighbors Day package, you can. There are a few do’s and don’ts;

Do’s

  • The Neighbors Day activity will take place on 23, 24 or 25 September 2022.
  • You organize an activity in the neighbourhood, with the neighborhood and for the neighbourhood.
  • It is also possible not to request a budget, but to request a Neighbors Day package so that you can drink coffee with your neighbors as an activity.
  • The contribution is for refurbishing something in the neighbourhood, or for an activity with the neighborhood (such as a game afternoon, etc.).
  • You can be awarded a maximum of € 350.

Don’ts

  • Food and drink (not even as part of a workshop).
  • The purchase of tools or equipment such as a pressure washer. Renting is possible.
  • The purchase of items such as barbecues and crockery, cutlery, clothing or a patio heater. Renting such items is allowed, if this is part of a wider range of activities.
  • Personnel costs and fees for artists, such as DJs, clowns and face paint artists.
  • The purchase of traffic buddies, traffic signs, AED devices, etc.
  • Purchase of sports and games equipment.
