National Holocaust Remembrance

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, the Dutch Auschwitz Committee will organize the annual National Holocaust Remembrance at the Mirror Monument ‘Never More Auschwitz’ in the Wertheim Park in Amsterdam. Everyone is very welcome to attend.

It will be 80 years since the Netherlands was liberated and it will also be 80 years since the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp, the international symbol of the Holocaust, was liberated.
From 10:00 am you are welcome in the Amsterdam City Hall, Amstel entrance. At 10:50 am the Silent Tour departs from the City Hall to the Wertheim Park.

The commemoration starts at 11:30 am with speeches after which the Yizkor and Kaddish are recited. After the official wreath laying ceremony, everyone will have the opportunity to lay a wreath or flowers on the monument during the parade. There are seats available in the Wertheim Park for those who have difficulty walking.

To reinforce the importance of the goal ‘Never Again Auschwitz’, a large turnout, as a signal against the rising anti-Semitism, is of extraordinary significance. So not only your participation, but also that of your children, family, friends and acquaintances, is more valuable than ever.
