The municipality of Amsterdam will leave the building at Jodenbreestraat 25 on 1 December 2022.
This is the first step to cut back on housing costs. Savings on housing is partly possible because the municipality chooses to work in a hybrid manner. Due to this change, less office space is required.

In 2024, the municipality wants to spend around 10 million euros less per year on housing costs. The Jodenbreestraat 25 is one of the largest rental buildings. By canceling the rent of this property, the first step to cut costs has been taken. The municipality’s total office accommodation is again being examined. A housing plan will follow at the beginning of 2022.
