Last Saturday the first edition of this local fresh market opened in the courtyard of the Hermitage.
In the courtyard of Hermitage Amsterdam you can now visit the cozy culinary fresh market every Saturday from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. Vegetables, fresh pasta, fish, dairy, sourdough, almost everything is available at this Saturday market. As much as possible from Dutch soil and the closer to Amsterdam the better.
Treats with a story from Amsterdam and surroundings
Almost all ‘makers’ are on the market themselves and are happy to tell you about origin, quality and how they work. Dairy products from farmers around Amsterdam are available, organic vegetables from the nutritious clayey soil of the ‘bolle es’, honey from the Ronde Hoep and fresh fish from our own North Sea.
Combination of culture and culinary
And next to the market there is of course the museum. Be inspired by the impressive exhibitions. Feel free to bring your children or meet your friends on the terrace outside. There is plenty to do and taste for those who want to linger longer. The Hermitage courtyard is all yours on Saturdays.
Market in the garden of the Hermitage; every Saturday from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, entrance free, entrance via Amstel.
