Platform kunstRUIM, for and by Amsterdam professional visual artists, is going to do something new! They proudly present “Kunst in de Buurt” (Art in the Neighbourhood), a vibrant cultural program with various activities that runs until July 1, 2024.
KunstRUIM Gallery at Jodenbreestraat 25 (Valkenburgerstraat entrance) will be the centre of local art with, in addition to exhibitions, workshops, lectures, short films and music.
Immerse yourself in interactive exhibitions, meet passionate Amsterdam artists and discover the stories behind their work. Participate in workshops, from portrait drawing to natural paint making, etching with tetrapaks and urban sketching. Almost nothing is too crazy!
Kunst in de Buurt brings residents together with local art in an accessible way. They do this in collaboration with cultural and social organisations in the area, such as the Rembrandt House, Huis van de Tijd, Buurtteam Centrum and others.
KunstRUIM Gallery is free to enter. To participate in workshops and attend lectures, performances and other activities, a small contribution may be requested (maximum €3.50 and €1 with city pass). The entire program can be found and followed via the website.
