Christmas Lottery in the Plantage neighborhood

Published on Monday, December 7News

We read this message on the page of facebookcommunity ‘the Plantagebuurt’ and we would of course like to share it with you. A great initiative that also supports local entrepreneurs in these times.

Never before have we met so many people at home, in our beautiful Plantage neighborhood. The connection that we automatically had in previous years, in each other’s living rooms, the café, and restaurants from the street, can now only be done remotely. It is precisely in this crazy year that we want to strengthen the connection between the local entrepreneurs and the local residents.

That is why the Parent Council of the Boekmanschool organizes the Big digital Plantagebuurt Christmas Lottery. Local residents buy lottery tickets (5 tickets for € 5, through school and various entrepreneurs) and with the income the prizes are bought from our local entrepreneurs. We naturally hope to sell a lot of lottery tickets in order to invest as much as possible in our local entrepreneurs. Lottery tickets are for sale at Borrl Kitchen Deli (you get a free cup of coffee with the purchase of lottery tickets), and Athenaeum Bookshop and Friday between 5 pm and 7 pm at Eik en Linde during the weekly live broadcast “Eik on Air”. On December 16, everyone can watch the draw from home, which will be broadcast live from café Eik en Linde. This is how we make a great party together!
