HeenenWeer-service started

The chauffeur service ‘HeenenWeer’ started driving on 2 January. Residents with walking difficulties in the Center can travel to destinations within the district for 1 euro per ride. Volunteers take them in the bright green cars of HeenenWeer. For those who are less mobile, this is a good way to get around again.

The 2-seat cars (Cantas) take you from door to door to, for example, the doctor, physiotherapist, supermarket, family, a cozy terrace or the Huis van de Wijk. HeenenWeer runs from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

To become a customer?
Go to the website and sign up. After you or someone who helps you has logged in, you can add a balance of 10 or 20 euros. This amount is automatically topped up when the balance is half used.

Bookings
You can order a ride by calling 020 705 2532 between 9:30 and 16:30. You will receive a transport pass from the driver on your first ride. The pass is scanned with every ride. Your ride is then paid. There is room for 1 person next to the driver with a shopping bag, umbrella and/or walking stick. If you indicate this in advance, you can also bring a foldable rollator.

Become a volunteer
HeenenWeer Center started with 35 volunteers (drivers and planners). HeenenWeer Center is still looking for a few ride planners. This work can be done from home or from another location. It is important to be familiar with computers. Anyone interested can register.
