Spring is almost here, and you want to go outside! Walk or cycle through the Plantagebuurt. You will find wide streets, peace, space and greenery, in the middle of the city. Relax in one of the small parks and enjoy the first rays of sunshine on a bench or at the waterfront. If you want more greenery and space, the Oosterpark is a must. Even now that ARTIS and the Hortus are still closed, there is a lot to experience and see.
Routes & Tips
Stroll through the neighborhood at your leisure, or follow a thematic route. You will find many walking routes on the Plantage website; and you can also get there via the QR code! Themes include Jewish culture, history and monuments in the area. New on our website is a walking route about the care for the sick and homeless that has traditionally been rooted in this neighborhood.
On the website also a number of tips for special places or activities. And if you are walking or cycling along Mr. Visserplein, take a look at the large street signs of De Plantage; there you can learn a lot about the neighborhood, local residents and sights.
