From July 20, Amsterdam children aged 4 to 11 can travel for free on buses, trams and metros, when accompanied by an adult.
From the summer holidays onwards, Amsterdam families can travel through the city again for a lower price and visit family, go to the swimming pool or the park. Children travel for free every day between 9am and 9pm, until the end of the Christmas holidays; the promotion runs until January 5, 2025. Free travel can be requested from July 1.
Succes
This promotion also ran during the summer holidays last year. No fewer than 17,000 children participated, a quarter of the children in Amsterdam. Together they made almost a million rides throughout the city.
