An overview of the year in pictures
The year 2021 was a year to remember at ARTIS. The lions were going to leave, but they stayed anyway. The park opened, but also closed again. ARTIS asked for support and received it in every possible way. ARTIS celebrated love in the summer in a park in full bloom, and unfortunately closed its gates again when winter set in. Hopefully ARTIS can receive plenty of visitors again in the new year. Until then: goodbye! This was ARTIS in 2021.
Micropia
2021 was a very eventful year for Micropia. We told you all about sustainable microbes and how the world is a better place with microbes in it. We rediscovered forgotten women in microbiology and the hidden world of microbes. Our lab technicians answered all your questions about microbiology and the museum received a brand new cuddly fungal wall inspired by microbes. This was Micropia in 2021, see you in 2022!
