On February 2, turn down the heating, grab your thickest sweater and save 6% energy and 6% CO2 per degree. This is how you participate in Warm Sweater Day. Also share your climate solutions on the map, put your campaign or favorite warm sweater story on social media, make a campaign sweater, ask your neighbors, colleagues, friends and family and participate! Every year, hundreds of thousands of Dutch people actively register for Warm Sweater Day under the motto ‘heat yourself, not the world’. Because if everyone heats one degree lower for one heating season, this will save 1 megaton of CO₂; that is a large chunk of the 3.4 megatonnes of emissions that the Netherlands must save in all buildings by 2030. Did you know that together we can all save the annual consumption of three Wadden Islands in one day? In short: together we have an impact.
