On March 31st, the Tulp Festival Amsterdam Foundation will give the go-ahead for the Tulip Festival 2022 in the garden of Hermitage Amsterdam with 5000 colorful tulips at this location.
Nature does what it does and provides a bright spot in these dark times, according to the festival organizers. Tulip Festival brightens up Amsterdam’s streets throughout April and sends you on a journey of discovery along dozens of locations with hundreds of thousands of tulips, from North to Southeast and from East to New West. This is already the eighth edition of the festival.
In De Plantage
Hermitage Amsterdam is hosting this year’s exhibition of 100 special tulip varieties. The exhibition is curated by the festival’s supplier, Jeroen van den Hoek. He chose expressive and varied shapes and colors, ranging from worldwide popular varieties to exclusive, new tulips that recently came onto the market.
In De Plantage you will find tulips at the following locations in the coming month:
- In the garden of Hermitage Amsterdam
- on the mr. Fisherman’s Square
- At the bridge Plantage Kerklaan
- UvA, Roetersstraat 11
- On the Skinny Bridge
- On the Wittenburgerplein
- On the Nieuwe Keizersgracht
About the Tulip Festival Amsterdam
The cooperation partners realize beautiful tulip presentations at numerous locations throughout the city. With the tulip as a connecting element, the festival contributes to social cohesion between residents, visitors and companies under the motto ‘a tulip for every Amsterdammer’. A tulip for every Amsterdammer also means a tulip from every Amsterdammer. School students, companies, organizations and city districts contribute by planting or donating bulbs themselves in the autumn, and residents are encouraged to participate to brighten up Amsterdam’s streets.
