There is so much fun to experience in ARTIS during the Christmas holidays! Do you want to watch the stars? Ride in the merry-go-round, play outside, discover all about the animals or follow the children’s program in the Groote Museum? Come by too.

During the Christmas holidays there are special meetings for children every day in the ARTIS-Groote Museum and you can take a ride on the merry-go-round at the Apen- en Vogelhuis in the ARTIS-Park. Wondering what else there is to do?

Winter stars
Winter is the season to gaze into infinity. Discover the astronomical origin of the seasons in the ARTIS Planetarium, learn how to find Mars and Jupiter in the sky and take a journey through space to the depths of the universe.

Playing in ARTIS
In ARTIS-Park you can play endlessly, sometimes in places where you don’t expect it. Go on a journey of discovery with the new map and find all the play areas. See what the six animals on the back look like in real life and color them in for even more fun!

Workshops in Micropia
Humans, elephants, plants and micro-animals have one thing in common: DNA. During the workshops during the Christmas holidays, you will extract the DNA from strawberries yourself and make it visible to the naked eye. So put on your lab coat and experience what it’s like to be a real lab technician!
