Sustainability Day, this year on October 10, has been a name in education since 2008: many primary schools, secondary schools and MBO schools participate annually.
On this national day, extra attention is paid to sustainability in education. On this day, thousands of teachers, pupils, students and administrators take the initiative to organize a sustainable activity at their school. Because so many schools participate, they also inspire others to join the sustainability movement. Every school can participate!
There are many different things you can do on Sustainability Day. You can use the day as an opportunity to come up with an activity to draw attention to sustainability. For example, visiting a sustainable company, or starting a project around a theme such as waste or energy. Will you also participate? If you don’t know how, if you want to get inspiration or are looking for information, take a look at ANMEC’s offer, especially for educational professionals.
