He comes, he comes… by water and by land….

Saint Nicholas will arrive again in Amsterdam on Sunday, November 19, 2023. The arrival consists of two parts: a water route in which Saint Nicholas sails into Amsterdam and takes a tour through the city, and a land route in which Saint Nicholas and the Pieten, accompanied by a large procession, walk through the city. The water route leads past De Plantage, via the Walter Süskind Bridge and the Scharrebiersluis to the National Maritime Museum. The land route starts at Waterlooplein.
