Urgent, compelling and extravagant. The Opera Forward Festival (OFF) at the National Opera & Ballet is a rebellious exploration of uncharted territory.

With groundbreaking music theater productions, in-depth programs and special collaborations, we look for new sounds in the opera world. Central to the Opera Forward Festival are three large – daring – performances; Animal Farm, Perle Noire; meditations for Joséphine and Ändere die Welt!  With these productions we leave our familiar territory and look for the radically new.

The operas can be visited by everyone up to the age of 35 for only € 20 (excl. booking costs), regardless of the hall rank.
