‘You tap it and it sings’ – Reakt art from The Hague at Outsider Art Gallery
The Hague art book project with mental health care clients In 2020, then Parnassia chairman Stephan Valk gave the starting signal for an art book project in mental health care. Under the inspiring guidance of artist and Reakt employee Anthony Blokdijk, eleven books by painters, cartoonists, poets, writers, photographers and other multi-talented people with a mental health background have currently been published under the umbrella of the fictional bookstore Maldoracca – an art initiative of Ibrahim R. Ineke and Anthony Blokdijk. Three more books will be published within a few months.
Until Saturday March 2, 2024, Outsider Art Galerie presents the books and autonomous work of the fourteen artists involved in the exhibition ‘You tap it and it sings’.
