We can do more ourselves to improve the climate. That is why National Climate Week 2024 is from November 11 to 17. Will you also participate?

The city is greener than before, we drive slower in the car and we eat more and more plant-based. These are all ways in which we make Amsterdam a sustainable city. During Climate Week, the municipality wants to encourage everyone to make even more sustainable choices. From insulating your home to eating and traveling more sustainably: every step helps.

What can you do?
Everyone can make a difference. On the National Climate Week website you will find tips to get started yourself. For example, dealing with your belongings more intelligently and exchanging clothes. And considering the benefits of a green roof.

Organize your own activity
On the website you can get ideas for activities, such as a clothing exchange in the community center, an information evening about energy savings, or a plant-based barbecue in your street. Have you already taken sustainable steps or have a good idea to inspire others? Then register as a climate mayor and put your activity or plan on the national agenda.

Free energy products or a symposium
Activities have already been registered. For example, you can pick up free energy products during the energy market in the Hallen on the ten Katemarkt. You can also go here for advice about mold or insulation in your home. Or you can visit a symposium at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Climate justice is central in the Wibauthuis. What is the situation in the Netherlands? Or participate in a free workshop series to reduce your climate footprint.
