COC’s Shakespeare Club is a guest at H’ART Museum for the second time this summer and with numerous new initiatives.

From Wednesday 24 July to Wednesday 31 July, the museum will be a vibrant center for minorities in the broad LGBTIQA+ community. The official opening will take place on July 24 under the title, ‘High Heels Hurray’. Mayor Halsema of Amsterdam will give a special welcome to the artistically dressed drag queens and drag kings, who are unfortunately all too often the subject of ridicule, scorn, discrimination and violence, on the scaffolding that will be transformed into a red carpet especially for the occasion. The place where all drag queens and drag kings will arrive by boat. This ceremony not only puts the deteriorated acceptance on the agenda, but is also a tribute to the artistic traditions of drag that go back centuries.
