The Grachtenfestival takes place every year in August, for ten days. A summer festival for classical music, jazz and music from other cultures, where young musicians from all over the world surprise you with their own musical story. If you want to get to know the rising stars, come to the Grachtenfestival! Past, present and future come together in contemporary combinations of musicians, genres and locations.
The city of Amsterdam, from east to west and from north to south, serves as a backdrop for this. And of course also De Plantage, where the canal festival will take place in or near Hermitage Amsterdam, Royal Theatre Carré, Capital C, National Maritime Museum, Luther Museum, ’t Kromhoutmuseum, the Portuguese Synagogue, Uilenburgersjoel and ARTIS.
