Experience a day of volunteering and what it gives you

Are you going to help paint, clean, garden, or help fix up the room of a demented local resident; whether it’s in your own neighborhood or somewhere else entirely, during the two NLdoet days we offer each other a helping hand.

On March 10 and 11, and of course also on other days, you can make yourself useful to the neighborhood, your neighbors, your environment or your fellow man. You can see where you can roll up your sleeves in De Plantage or in the rest of the Netherlands on the map and on the website of the Oranje Fonds.

Every year in March, the Oranje Fonds organizes this large volunteer campaign. NLdoet puts voluntary efforts in the spotlight and, through a public campaign, activates as many Dutch people as possible to volunteer for a day and experience what it means to you as a volunteer!

NLdoet can be the start of many beautiful things. Organizations get to know new volunteers, can count on more local interest and increase their impact. And volunteers who have helped during NLdoet are more likely to do volunteer work.

And then there is also the national Cleanup Day on March 18. Throughout the Netherlands, and also in De Plantage, people are cleaning and litter is collected. See what’s going on in your area and get involved!
