The song-duo Verheijen van Loon will give a concert of Schubert’s Winterreise on December 12 in the Luther Museum Amsterdam.
Bram Verheijen (tenor) specialized in early music. Based on this experience, he and fortepianist Joris van Loon investigate how Schubert (1797-1828) composed his Winterreise from the vocal and pianistic tradition that was common in Vienna around 1820. Joris plays on a fortepiano from the Geelvinck collection built by Conrad Graf in Vienna.
