The – by now 25th – the Canal festival is about to start! From 12 to 21 August, music will once again be heard through streets and canals, on quays and at and in special locations throughout Amsterdam. Young musicians from all over the world surprise you with their own musical story, with Amsterdam as the backdrop.

The program also extends to De Plantage neighbourhood; there are concerts in Het Scheevaartmuseum, at museum yard ’t Kromhout, in the Hermitage on the Amstel and the Luthermuseum Amsterdam, and in the Uilenburgersjoel. The music chapel in Oosterpark is on August 16th reserved for a free neighbourhood concert. The program is as impressive as it is extensive, with jazz, classical music, children’s concerts, world music by known and (still) unknown talent.
