Urban history walk and drinks

Last week, we celebrated the conclusion of the project “Jewish City” in the Plantage. At Mr. Visserplein, the new panels of the open-air exhibition are now on display – a tribute to special places in the neighborhood and the Jewish Amsterdammers after whom they are named.

Our guide Julia van der Krieke, took us on an inspiring walk past several of these locations. Julia is also the creator of the podcast series De Joodse Stad (The Jewish City), in which she brings to life the stories of Jewish neighborhoods such as Vlooienburg, Uilenburg, Rapenburg, and De Plantage, together with experts and local residents. The series is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Afterwards, we enjoyed drinks together and got to know one another better — from local residents to entrepreneurs and other Plantage fans.
