March marks the start of the new growing season at Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam. It may well be the most beautiful time to visit: every week the garden changes, and there is always something new to discover.
What’s on?
• Seasonal Bingo for families – free to pick up at the entrance during school holidays and public holidays
• Themed tour: Spring Bloomers – 14 March (at 11:30 and 13:00)
• Mini market featuring edible plants on the square – 28 March (10:00–17:00)
• Themed tour: Native Plants & Gardening – 28 March (11:00)
• From late March, the first tulips begin to bloom, including a colourful field along the canal
This might be the most beautiful time of year to visit the Hortus. Spring begins here.
