Kick-off New Season at Carre

Royal Theater Carré kicks off the new season with a packed program and several audience favorites. Here’s an overview of performances that still have tickets available. Check Carré’s website for the full program and tickets.

From Mon 1 to Wed 3 September, you can register for the lottery for Ronald Goedemondt’s brand-new show Mijn lieve achterdocht. There’s also a festive sing-along edition of Popup Choir – Christmas coming up, and later this season the international smash hit SIX the Musical will return to Carré.

September highlights at a glance:

  • Sun 14 Sep – Maarten Heijmans & Kamerata Zuid: Maarten zingt van alles
    Together with string orchestra Kamerata Zuid, Maarten opens up his personal treasure chest full of musical gems from Dutch chanson artists such as Maarten van Roozendaal, Peter van Rooijen and Theo Nijland.
  • Fri 19 Sep – CLUB QUEERSTEN, hosted by Kirsten van Teijn
    An ode to being different and to fluidity. Both a safe space and a party space – come as you are!
  • Sat 20 & Sun 21 Sep – Boudchart
    A unique blend of Arabic classics, contemporary compositions and mesmerizing rhythms.
  • Wed 24 – Sat 27 Sep – Jim Jefferies – Son of a Carpenter
    The Australian comedian fills the evening with sharp, humorous insights that make you think in unexpected ways.
  • Tue 30 Sep – Suzanne Vega – Flying with Angels Tour 2025
    An unforgettable show celebrating her impressive career.

Looking ahead to season ’25/’26:

  • 17–22 March 2026 – SIX the Musical
    The global hit about the six ex-wives of Henry VIII, finally telling their side of the story – with pop anthems inspired by icons like Beyoncé, Adele and Ariana Grande. Expect powerhouse vocals, sharp choreography and an international cast that has already conquered millions of hearts worldwide. A dazzling explosion of music, humor and female power that won’t let you sit still.
  • 30 April – 3 May 2026 – Dutch National Ballet – Hans van Manen in Carré
    Featuring, among others, the groundbreaking video ballet Live.
