Through its Sustainable Plantage Programme, Stichting De Plantage takes practical steps to improve the quality of life in our vibrant neighbourhood while helping members of our local network become more sustainable.
The main sustainability projects currently underway are:
Plantage Energy: joint purchasing of green gas and electricity at highly competitive rates, thanks to a strategic approach of purchasing several years in advance.
Together Circular: version 2.0 of our first waste collective, Zero Waste Expedition Plantage, focusing on cooperation around efficient waste collection with an emphasis on recycling.
Sustainable Procurement Platform: simply create an account to gain access to competitively priced, sustainable products for your business operations, promotional activities, offices and more.
New project
We would like to add a new project to the Sustainable Plantage Programme – preferably one that can deliver concrete results within three to four years.
Topics we are currently considering for a research project or initiative include:
- How do our visitors travel to and enter the neighbourhood, and how can we make this more sustainable?
- How can we make better use of our flat rooftops together to address urban challenges such as heat, limited space, loneliness, water retention and biodiversity? (Plantage Park at rooftop level)

Perhaps there are ideas or topics among our network that we haven’t considered yet, but that could contribute to a good balance between the vibrancy and liveability of De Plantage. Businesses, cultural institutions, knowledge institutes and residents: everyone is welcome to share ideas.
