This autumn break, the Jewish Museum is all about magic! It’s the perfect time to visit the new exhibition Abracadabra – Secrets from Houdini to Hans Klok. And on Wednesday 14 October, there are two extra magical activities especially for children.
In Abracadabra, you’ll discover the fascinating world of illusionists and magicians, from the legendary Houdini to Hans Klok. The exhibition can be visited throughout the autumn break.
Only on 14 October: learn real magic tricks!
Children aged 10 to 12 can learn real magic tricks during a special workshop with magician George Tokaya. He shares fascinating stories about Professor Ben Ali Libi, shows videos and teaches children how to perform different tricks step by step. Afterwards, participants receive a booklet and a bag of magic supplies to take home and continue practising.
Also only on 14 October: decorate magical cookies
At the Jewish Museum junior, children can drop in during the afternoon to decorate magical cookies with fondant. Top hats, magic wands and white rabbits – anything goes, as long as it’s magical! The cookies can be taken home afterwards – unless they get eaten straight away.
