From 10 October, Wereldmuseum celebrates Día de Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead. During this colourful festival, families remember their loved ones who have passed away with flowers, music, treats and beautifully decorated altars. Colourful skulls and cheerfully dressed skeletons show how life and death are connected.
During the autumn break, children can get creative themselves. Make your own papel picado: colourful paper garlands with cut-out flowers, bones and skulls. Or create a calavera from metal and discover what it’s like to work with this material.
