ARTIS has launched a public crowdfunding campaign to raise the final funds needed for the restoration of the ARTIS Aquarium. A total of €150,000 is still required to complete the final phase of this iconic building in the heart of Amsterdam.
After years of restoration, ARTIS is working towards the reopening on 13 June. For many Amsterdam residents and ARTIS visitors, the Aquarium is a beloved place of wonder where visitors will soon be able to explore the underwater world up close again.
Water is the source of all life. The renewed Aquarium will reveal how rich, fragile and fascinating this world is – from tiny aquatic animals to the larger ecological systems they are part of.
With a contribution, big or small, you can help bring this special place back to life and make it accessible again for future generations of visitors.
