From 27 May to 14 June, gallery kunstRUIM presents kR8 โ The Power of Art*, an exhibition featuring the work of eight Amsterdam-based visual artists. Through paintings, collages, paper-cut art, photography, installations, sculptures and mixed media, the exhibition explores how art can inspire, connect and open up new perspectives.
In a constantly changing world where perspectives are under pressure, kR8 highlights the importance and necessity of art. Visitors are invited to look, reflect and engage in conversation. During opening hours, the artists will be present in changing line-ups to talk about their work and meet visitors.
Participating artists: Fred Appel, Erna Bijl de Vroe, Koos Hageraats, Hilde Hoekstra, Sandrina Kreek, Mariska Nieuwendijk, Slavica Nikolova and Liesbeth Schouten.
The festive opening takes place on Saturday 30 May, featuring hybrid music and an introduction by Jitske Lochtenberg on the power of art and kickboxing.
