The latest works by Robert Pennekamp is on show in the exhibition That’s the Spirit in Hotel Arena.
His paintings combine vibrant colors and abstract, cartoon-like elements. Robert reflects wisdom and portrays a world without power and corruption, while his art challenges the viewer to think about social issues and the universe.
Robert Pennekamp
Robert Pennekamp (Uithoorn, 1963) is a multidisciplinary artist who creates paintings, sculptures, installations and performances. He lives and works in Amsterdam and organizes art and community projects. Robert works intuitively from his heart, inspired by the world around him. His art often reveals hidden layers and opens a window to a world of love and compassion, where nature is the source of everything. His work has been shown at international exhibitions around the world.
In his work, Pennekamp uses mixed techniques on canvas, including homemade paint, natural pigments, medium, oil paint and acrylic paint. For some works he even used the kickboxing mat from Mejiro Gym, which world champions train on every day. These unique materials bring an extra dimension of strength and history to his art.
