Cold? So simple; put on a warm sweater! Durable? Then turn the heating down a degree.

You can also participate in Warm Sweater Day on February 7. And if everyone in the Plantagebuurt were to do that, we would save a lot of energy and CO2 in the area one day.

If you participate, post a photo and tag our Facebook page (@plantationamsterdam) or Instagram (#plantationamsterdam). Also share your favorite warm sweater story on the website, put your campaign on social media, make a promotional sweater, ask your neighbors, colleagues, friends and family and participate!

Every year, hundreds of thousands of Dutch people actively register for Warm Sweater Day. Because if everyone heats one degree lower for one heating season, this will save 1 megaton of CO₂; that is a large chunk of the 3.4 megatonnes of emissions that the Netherlands must save in all buildings by 2030. And did you know that together we can all save the annual consumption of three Wadden Islands in one day? In short: together we have an impact.
