There is plenty to do at SOOP over the coming weeks. Visit a new exhibition, attend the first evening concert or join a film screening or lecture.
3 September – Opening of Jet Kat exhibition
From 3 September to 4 November, Jet Kat will present her unusual wall decorations and paintings of imaginary flowers. The opening reception starts at 16:30 and will feature live music by Trio Blue Band.
4 September – Swap and giveaway market
Give beautiful items a second life or come along to see if you can find something special. The market runs from 15:00 to 18:00. Anyone wishing to bring items can register in advance.
15 September – First evening concert at SOOP
The evening begins with soup and bread at 17:30. At 19:00, guitar duo 12:21 will perform on classical and electric guitars, with music by Bach, Debussy, Steve Reich, Philip Glass and Radiohead, among others.
24 September – Lecture: The Kriterion Girls
Anna Eva Boogaard tells the story of twelve female students who joined the resistance during the Second World War and founded the student cinema Kriterion after the war. The lecture takes place from 16:30 to 17:30.
27 September – SOOPCinema
At 14:00, SOOP will screen The Bridges of Madison County, the romantic drama starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.
8 October – Start of the monthly SOOP Salon concerts
From October, SOOP will host an intimate concert every second Thursday of the month. The first concert starts at 16:00. Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a drink and talk about the performance.
