The coming weeks at Splendor Amsterdam are once again filled with extraordinary concerts, encounters and surprising crossovers between music, theatre, dance, film and art.

From Ukrainian cinema and experimental music theatre to wine tastings with live music, contemporary opera, classical masterpieces and ambient electronics – the May programme is packed with remarkable makers and unexpected combinations.

Monday 18 May at 20:00: Woven in the In-Between, featuring Michael Moore, Nora Mulder, Kate Moore and performers from collective Imprography.

Monday 18 May at 20:15: music talk show around The Paloma Project at the Uilenburgersjoel, with Emily Beynon, Andrew West and historian Wim Berkelaar.

Tuesday 19 May at 19:30: Violaviola, with viola students of Francien Schatborn.

Thursday 21 May at 20:00: piano trio with Bartolomeo Fortino-Shields, Anja Kuttner and Dmitry Silvian, performing works by Haydn, Beethoven and Schumann.

Thursday 21 May at 20:30: members concert Het Goede Pad by Ties Mellema, with Jesse Faber, Bram van Sambeek and the Dudok String Quartet.

Friday 22 May at 20:00: cello and piano recital with Nuala McKenna and Antonii Baryshevskyi.

Sunday 24 May at 20:00: album release Confluence by Koen Visser and Roman Willems.

Monday 25 May at 20:30: Boccherini’s Stabat Mater, featuring soprano Claron McFadden and musicians from the Intercontinental Ensemble.

Tuesday 26 May at 20:00: North Star comes to Splendor, with René Postma, Anne-Linn Beekhof and Mark Schimmel.

Thursday 28 May at 15:00: members concert Friends by Heleen Hulst, with among others Gerard Bouwhuis, Samuel Bragança Mendes de Freitas, Nicolai Dahl Kjellberg and Daniel Brandon.

Friday 29 May at 20:15: True Love Song Cycle by Renske Vrolijk, performed by soprano Bauwien van der Meer and pianist Caecilia Boschman.

Saturday 30 May at 20:00: sneak preview of Tales & Mutability, an opera in development by Wilma Pistorius.

Sunday 31 May at 20:00: Misha’s Mirage with Michael Moore and ensemble, featuring rarely performed compositions by Misha Mengelberg.
