At Huis van de Tijd, people with memory challenges and dementia meet in a welcoming environment based on the social approach: we focus on the person, not the illness, and on what is still possible – which is often much more than people think. Reading Together (from 2 March, Mon 15:30–16:45) Twelve-week reading project with children (8–11) to encourage the joy of reading. We are still looking for enthusiastic volunteer readers.
Newspaper & Coffee (Friday 10:00–11:00) Read and discuss the news together over coffee and something sweet. Bring your own newspaper.
Alzheimer Café (4 March, 19:30–21:30) Theme: Freedom, Safety and Quality of Life. Organised with Alzheimer Nederland, location Huis De Pinto, free entrance.
Vondelpark Walk (5 March, 10:30–12:30) A spring walk departing from Huis van de Tijd. Please bring a topped-up public transport card.
Clean-Up Brigade (6 March, 13:30–14:30) Together we help make the neighbourhood cleaner. Departure from Huis van de Tijd.
The Good Old School Days (9 March, 11:00–12:30) Quiz with visiting students about school life then and now, followed by a shared lunch.
Conservatory Concert (11 March, 11:00–12:00) Brass ensemble from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam performing in the Corvershof. Free entry, voluntary contribution.
Boxing (from 12 March, Thu 11:00–11:45) Training session at sport club Underground with professional guidance. €7.50 per session.
