Lecture series PhD candidates on stage in the Resistance Museum

00:00:00event

After a successful first edition in 2024, the lecture series ‘PhD candidates on stage’ will return to the Resistance Museum in 2025.

Historians from the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies share surprising insights from recent research and bring underexposed stories from the history of the Second World War and decolonization to life.

With topics such as the nightlife in Amsterdam during the occupation, Funktionshäftlingen in Mauthausen, Poncke Princen and Jewish refugees on Curaçao and Suriname, the lecture series offers fascinating stories for students, history buffs and anyone interested in this special and radical period.

The lectures take place on the third Tuesday from February to May, each at 4 p.m. in the Resistance Museum. Regular admission: €15 per lecture, passe-partout: €45. Discounts apply to students, Friends of the Resistance Museum, Museum Card and City Pass holders (€10 per lecture, passe-partout: €30). All prices include a museum visit and closing drinks. Tickets: www.verzetsmuseum.org.
