On Tuesday, May 5, BIZ Oosterpark is organizing the second edition of De Tafel van Oost in the Oosterpark. The program for this Freedom Meal has been curated in collaboration with, among others, the Amsterdam 4 and 5 May Committee and Plein Theater.
Be inspired by special speakers such as former Speaker of the House Gerdi Verbeet, writer Natascha van Weezel, and documentary filmmaker Vincent Soekra. They will take you along in personal stories and conversations about freedom and living together.
Enjoy world music, dance and singing, be moved by spoken word performances, or join a game of chess. Take part in the Oost Freedom Quiz or get hands-on during creative workshops by ARTIS-Ateliers and Restvorm.
There’s also plenty to enjoy on the culinary side: at the Streats food truck from Hotelschool The Hague, you can grab a bowl of warm Freedom Soup. And for a truly unique experience: step into Amsterdam’s traveling Tiny Buurthouse. We will close the day together with an atmospheric performance by singer Janne Schra.
