On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the Jom HaShoah Commemoration will take place at the Hollandsche Schouwburg.
On Jom HaShoah, the Day of the Shoah (Hebrew for “catastrophe” or “destruction”), Jewish communities around the world commemorate the victims of Nazi persecution. Jom HaShoah falls on the 27th of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar. On this day in 1943, Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto rose up against the Nazis.
This commemoration has been held since 1946 and has taken place at the Hollandsche Schouwburg in Amsterdam since 1966.
