The 3rd edition of the Amsterdam Cleanup Day will take place on Friday, September 20. Participate and mobilize your neighbors, colleagues and kids in De Plantage!
With more than 190 countries, we will give our planet a major cleaning on that day. Fun activities are also organized in the Netherlands and of course in Amsterdam to clean the neighborhood or street together.
Many institutions organize something extra for visitors on this day. In the National Maritime Museum, for example, in the afternoon you can fish to catch plastic on the water around the museum, or pick waste on land. All participants in the clean-up campaign can visit the museum for free that day.
In the Netherlands, the clean-up campaign is organized by ANMEC/IVN Nature Education and the municipality of Amsterdam. On this website you will find all the information and you can register groups, colleagues and school classes.
Who and how
The promotion is for everyone; schools, companies and volunteer groups. For schools, the action can be carried out from upper primary education onwards. Register via the website. The cleaning action itself takes about 60 minutes. Including instructions and preparation, it will take you approximately 90 minutes. You can decide when to clean up.
