What if your story could become the inspiration for a brand-new piece of music?
Throughout July, the Mozes & Aaron Church hosts A Harp to Lift Your Spirits, a unique festival where stories and music come together. Outstanding musicians from across the Netherlands create personal, improvised compositions inspired by the stories shared by visitors. From harp and piano to cello, saxophone and percussion, a different line-up performs each day, making every visit a unique musical experience.
The festival is all about connection, creativity and participation. Everyone is welcome, every story matters, and admission is completely free.
Daily programme (Tuesday–Saturday)
- 12:00 – 3:00 PM – Free one-on-one concerts: share a story and receive a personal musical composition.
- 3:00 – 4:00 PM – Duo composition: the musicians of the day transform visitors’ stories into a brand-new collaborative piece.
Together, these stories form the Musical Diary of the City – a composition that grows a little more each day throughout the festival.
