Even though it’s still cold outside, the first buds are already forming on the branches — quiet promises of spring. From these buds, fresh leaves will appear in the coming months. And in February, some trees even dare to bloom already. Think of the delicate dangling flowers of the hazel or the alder, also known as catkins.
