19-21 june: Open Garden Days

00:00:00event

On June 19, 20 and 21, more than 25 private and institutional canal gardens will open their gates during the annual Open Garden Days. A unique opportunity to visit places that are normally closed to the public.

Hidden behind Amsterdam’s iconic canal houses are beautiful green oases: historic city gardens, centuries-old trees, charming garden houses and colourful flower beds.

For residents of the Plantage neighbourhood, it is especially exciting that the Luther Museum on Nieuwe Keizersgracht is one of the official starting locations of the event. Museum Van Loon and Willet-Holthuysen House are also participating. Which hidden gardens in and around the neighbourhood will be open this year remains a surprise until the event itself.

With a single pass, visitors can explore all participating gardens throughout the weekend in any order they choose.
