On Friday, 4 September 2026 at 12:00 noon, Duo Sonorous will give a special lunchtime concert at the Mozes en Aäronkerk in Amsterdam. Admission is free.
Duo Sonorous consists of VĂctor Baena on organ and Lisette Carlebur on violin. Since forming in 2015, the duo has performed in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. The musicians have also appeared at renowned festivals, including the Grachtenfestival and MĂşsica en la Catedral de Astorga.
🎼 The programme includes:
• The Prelude from the Suite for Violin and Organ, Op. 166 by Joseph Rheinberger
• Après un rêve, Op. 7, No. 1 by Gabriel Fauré
• The Prélude from the Suite pour Orgue, Op. 5 by Maurice Duruflé
• The Melodie from Orfeo ed Euridice by Christoph Willibald Gluck
• The celebrated Pavane, Op. 50 by Gabriel Fauré
The clear, expressive sound of the violin and the full voice of the historic organ come together in a remarkable musical experience.
This concert is part of a series of free lunchtime concerts held every Friday in September. A voluntary contribution towards the preservation of the historic organ is warmly appreciated after the concert.
